This website, butlerestates.com, is operated by Butler Estates Co., Ltd., company registration no. 0835568019145, of 7/11 Moo 2, Ratsada, Mueang Phuket, Phuket, Thailand (“Butler Estates”, “we”, “us”). Butler Estates is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and in the course of its property advisory services, under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019). What we collect
When you enquire through the website, WhatsApp, email or a booking link, we collect what you provide: your name, contact details, and the details of what you are looking for or what you own, such as budget, dates, areas and property information. If a transaction proceeds, we collect what the transaction requires, such as passport and title documents. The website also collects technical data through cookies and similar tools, covered in the cookie policy.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry and provide the service you have asked for, which is the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before one. To keep records of introductions, viewings and agreements, which is our legitimate interest in operating the business and a legal necessity for the agreements themselves. To understand how the website is used and to reach relevant audiences with advertising, which happens only with your consent through the cookie banner.
Where it goes
Butler Estates uses a small set of service providers to operate: HubSpot for enquiry and client management, Google Workspace for email and documents, Google Analytics for site measurement, Meta for advertising measurement, Calendly for viewing bookings, and CookieYes for consent management. These providers store data on servers outside Thailand, including in the United States and the European Union, under their own safeguards. We do not sell personal data, and we share it beyond these providers only where a transaction requires it, for example with a developer, lawyer or the Land Department at your instruction, or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiry data is kept while your enquiry is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, because property searches often pause and resume. Transaction records are kept for the periods Thai law requires. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, and we will unless a legal obligation requires that it be kept.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of use, a copy in portable form, and you can withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Write to rex@butlerestates.com and we will respond within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Committee.
